BroodingSideOfMadness & Darkstar83[Live At Romantso Athens 20-6-2014]



Etched Traumas, an independent record label, in collaboration with Romantso, presents an electronic music performance featuring the Athenian artists BroodingSideOfMadness, Unsample, and DarkStar83, connected via the internet with Latin American artist Eidoscognito from Valera, Venezuela. This event unites two cities to showcase the expressive side of experimental electronic music and the dreamlike echoes of modern urban landscapes, exploring the realms of dark ambient, electroacoustic sound, and avant-garde. The performance will be accompanied by directed visual material.

Etched Traumas is a non-profit netlabel based in Athens. Its primary goal is to promote ambient and electroacoustic works. In its two years of existence, it has released over 60 works from around the world under the Creative Commons license. Some works are also available as limited-edition handmade CDs.



Artists and Highlights

Eidoscognitio is Alejandro Betancourt from Venezuela. His work explores ambient soundscapes and atmospheres. He focuses on field recordings and electronic sources, creating immersive and atmospheric works. His two latest releases are available through Etched Traumas.

BroodingSideOfMadness from Athens works with generative sound, referencing ambient, ritual, and noise. He occasionally composes for dance theater, performances, and video art. He is the founder of Etched Traumas and continues to push the boundaries of experimental electronic music.

Unsample is an electronic music duo from Athens. They explore the deconstruction of postmodern electronic aesthetics through a unique interpretation of musical and acoustic signals. Their work redefines sound into cohesive compositions that evoke conceptual art. Their first online release, "Cyber Klang," was in 2013.

Darkstar83, a project by Konstantinos Konstantinidis from Athens, is known for his minimalistic dark ambient compositions. Two of his releases are available on Etched Traumas, marking his contributions to the label's rich catalog of experimental music.
